Alert: The IRS issued guidance on its postponement of the April 15 tax deadline for individuals as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with the release of Notice 2021-21. The postponement allows individual taxpayers to delay filing federal income tax returns and payment due on April 15 until May 17, 2021.

Prior to that notice, the IRS announced relief for victims of the winter storms in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. These states have until June 15, 2021 to file
